about

From Week In Pop:

From the world's quiet landscapes of worldwide quarantine is an amplified minimalist Kopervik, Norway punk sound from the likes of The Bundy Bunch. A nod to the notorious serial killer of international intrigue that has been part of a global fascination in recent years; the trio of Ole Marius Saltvik, Markus Matland and Aron Óttar Eggertsson kick up an energetic noise that adheres to their 80s DIY underground idols with an edgy air of catharsis for the contemporary age. Following up the antics of "Belushi Speedball", The Bundy Bunch debut "POS" that bristles full of dive bar earnest twee with a rage for the people that make a scene by wilding out and acting the fool.

“POS” takes the mickey out of piss-heads and pill-heads and their obnoxious behavior to boot. The Bundy Bunch unleashes hopped up guitar rhythms that recall those former hedonistic days of lager, rowdiness and roses. Championing an amplified and energetic garage aesthetic — the band trades in a style that rages like those out of control gigs of yore that stand out in the lighted passages and chapters of memory. “POS” rocks, rolls and rollicks like a clandestine show in a low-key DIY space that is inevitably disrupted by a chemically altered and addled audience member in dire need of a polite and/or forcible removal from the makeshift venue.

lyrics

sun’s too bright
cold sweats
black eyes
and my head’s too tight

took a pill
200 miles
got a girl
got white lies

gotta lie down
the birds are too loud
cold sweats
bet my mom’s proud

crank my amp
feel my false chords
my friends
are such a bore

I really wanna live like this
I wanna be a piece of shit
(I wanna be a piece of shit)
